Frequently Asked Questions About Our Teas

Clear answers about varieties, preparation, and delivery, without unnecessary information.

What does "single-origin tea" mean and why is it important?

Single-origin tea comes from a single, well-defined plantation or region, without anonymous blends. We select whole leaves from sustainable plantations in Vietnam, Japan, and China, where the soil, altitude, and traditional processing methods give each variety a unique aromatic profile. This way, you know exactly what you are drinking and where it comes from.

How to properly prepare green tea to avoid bitterness?

Water temperature is key: for green tea, we recommend 70–80°C, not boiling water. Steeping time varies between 1 and 3 minutes, depending on the variety. For example, Jasmine Pearl steeps for 2–3 minutes at 75°C, while Sencha Fukamushi only needs 1–2 minutes at 70°C. Use a ceramic infuser or a teapot with a fine strainer to control extraction.

What brewing accessories do you recommend for beginners?

To start, a traditional ceramic infuser (gaiwan or kyusu) is ideal – it maintains a constant temperature and does not alter the taste. Also, a bamboo whisk (chasen) is essential for matcha. All our accessories are handpicked, made from artisanal ceramic and natural wood, without plastics or residual flavors.

Which varieties do you recommend for the first part of the day?

For the morning, three excellent options: Jasmine Pearl Green Tea – a delicate floral aroma, ideal for a gentle start; Organic Ceremonial Matcha – clean energy and focus thanks to L-theanine; and Sencha Fukamushi – a refreshing Japanese classic, with umami notes and a natural antioxidant boost. Each is quick to prepare and offers freshness without excessive caffeine.

Why KratomGuide?

Hand-selected from sustainable plantations, natural flavors and traditional ceramic accessories – no compromises.

Whole leaves, not powder

Each variety is hand-picked from certified plantations in Vietnam and Japan. The leaves are kept whole to gradually release aroma and natural antioxidants during infusion.

Natural flavors, no additives

The jasmine in our pearls comes from layering fresh flowers, and the matcha is stone-ground on granite. Zero synthetic flavors or preservatives.

Traditional ceramic infusers

Our accessories are handcrafted by local artisans from natural clay to maintain optimal temperature and not alter the delicate taste of the tea.

Proper hot brewing methods

Each product comes with precise temperature and steeping time instructions, so you get a balanced cup every time, without bitterness.

Sustainable plantations, direct partners

We work directly with farmers in Shizuoka and the mountainous regions of Vietnam, who practice crop rotation and natural composting. Every batch is traceable to the plot.

Recommendations for the first part of the day

Our morning selections – Jasmine Pearl, Ceremonial Matcha, and Sencha Fukamushi – are designed to provide clean energy and focus, without artificial stimulants.
